Abel Mendoza

La Bodega fue creada por Abel Mendoza en el año 1988, con el objetivo de elaborar vinos con personalidad propia, que perduren en el tiempo. Empezó a embotellar y  comercializar bajo la marca JARRARTE la producción de los viñedos que cultivaba su familia desde hacía décadas.

Abel Mendoza es un pequeño viticultor de La Rioja Alavesa, en San Vicente de la Sonsierra, comenzando en sus inicios con el vino joven de maceración carbónica.

Abel Mendoza apuesta por elaborar otros vinos más complejos, tanto en tintos como en blancos.

Localización

La bodega está ubicada en la entrada del pueblo de San Vicente de la Sonsierra (La Rioja).

Suelo

Los terrenos son accidentados y de composición variada (se alternan suelos arcillo-calcáreos,  arenosos y pedregosos).

Viñedo

20 Ha de viñedo en la margen izquierda de río Ebro, bajo la falda de la Sierra Cantabria.

Abel Mendoza cuida y realiza el seguimiento del viñedo durante todo el año, aplicando los cuidados necesarios y respetando al máximo el medio ambiente.

Vinos

Las marcas que comercializa la bodega son: JARRARTE como vino tinto joven y como vino tinto  con 12 meses en barrica de roble francés. Con la marca ABEL MENDOZA un vino tinto Selección Personal y blancos monovarietales fermentados en barrica. También pequeñas elaboraciones de varietales como la Tempranillo y la Graciano  despalillados manualmente grano a grano.
